Joseph M. Kish, 49 of Bath, NY, died Monday December 12, 2011 in the comfort of his Arc home, at 129 East Main Street, Hornell, NY. He was born in Bath, NY December 9, 1962, the son of Arnold and the late Helen (Woodford) Kish.
He was retired from the Arc of Steuben of Bath, NY. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Bath, the Charles E. Wescott American Legion Post 173 and the Bath B.P.O.E. 1547.
Joey was known and loved by many, and was often riding his bike around Bath, saying Hello to everyone. He especially loved his McDonald's hamburgers every Saturday.
He is survived by his father Arnold S. Kish, his sister Barbara (Donovan) Lawrence of Bath; nieces and nephews, Kristina (Sgt. Timothy) Calafiore of Bath, Maggie Lott, Amy Jo Lott; great nieces and nephews, Timothy and Abrianna Calafiore, uncle Robert (Carol) Woodford of Hudson MA.; aunts, Margaret (Roland) Baird of Hammondsport and Joanne (Richard) Palmer of Bath; great aunt Wilma Oldaker of Clarksburg WV.; cousins, Cheri and Linda Baird of Hammondsport, Richie (Joy) Palmer, Craig (Doreen) Palmer both of Bath, Jeff (Erica) Palmer of Alexander VA and Diane (Michael) Bly of Bath. He was predeceased by his mother Helen, paternal grandmother Verona Kish, aunt Josephine Yerkey and his maternal grandparents, Asa (Florence) Woodford.
Friends may call Friday December 16th from 4:00-7:00 PM at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 West Morris St., Bath, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday December 17th at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Bath with Reverend James Jaeger as celebrant assisted by Deacon Dave Lafortune.
Interment will be Saturday in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport.
