Obituary of Ernest E. Putman

Ernest E. Putman, age 74, of Bath, NY died Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Bath Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born in Blossburg, PA August 3, 1938 the son of the late Mark and Viola Butler Putman. Mr. Putman was a truck driver for Polly-O Dairy in Campbell, NY and he was an U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of the Savona Federated Church and the Bath Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing camping and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Carol Fenner Davis Putman of Bath, very special step daughter Jodi (Eric) Davis; two sisters, Evelyn Wilcox of Mansfield, PA and Nancy Putman; two brothers, Richard Putman of Wellsboro, PA and Ronald Putman of Naples, FL; two grandchildren, Eric and Kesha of Orlando, FL; three great grandchildren, Joseph, Aden and Harley, step grandchildren, Rachelle of Painted Post, Emily, Andrew and Ryan of Campbell, and John of Arkansas and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three children, Carol Ann, Jeffrey and Ernie “Scott” Putman, his brother, Edward Putman and father and mother in law Harold and Evelyn Fenner. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Bath National Cemetery with Pastor Nate Cooper officiating.
