Obituary of Carl O. Deitrick

Carl O. Deitrick, age 86, of Bath, New York died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Steuben County Health Care Facility. He was born October 6, 1926 in Williamsport, PA the son of Marcus and Ida Fetterman Deitrick. Mr. Deitrick worked on the Erie Lackawanna Railroad for 31 years and retired from there in 1986. He was a World War II Army Veteran and loved fishing. He was a member of the B.R.T.(Brotherhood of Railroad Trainman), the Moose Lodge in Hammondsport and transferred to the Corning Moose where he was past Governor and past Ritual Governor. He was also in the Fraternal Order of Eagles and past member of the Charles E. Wescott American Legion Post 173 and V.F.W. Post 1470 in Bath. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Mae (Kline) Deitrick, daughter, Diane Scotchmer (Ron Lewis); sons, Steve (Christine) Deitrick, Brian Deitrick and David (Nancy) Deitrick, brother Robert (Cynthia) Deitrick; stepchildren (Priscilla Deitrick’s children), Laurene (Shelly) Perry-Plank of Mansfield, PA, Kim (Art) Gotshall of Addison, NY, Cassandra (Corey) Putman of Addison, NY, Michael (Sue) Rude of Weedsport, NY, Darryl (Carey) Rude of Addison, NY and Laurie (John) Mras of Newfield, NY and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family and burial with military honors will be in the Bath National Cemetery.
