Obituary of Howard W. Armstrong

Rev. Howard William Armstrong, 82, of Hammondsport, NY went to be with his Lord on July 19, 2013. Howard was born in Rochester, PA to Howard and Ethel Murray Armstrong. Howard is survived by Sue, his beloved wife of 60 years, two sons, Richard (Darlene) and Douglas (Kimberley), 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and two sisters. He was predeceased by his daughter, Marsha Armstrong Barnes. Howard is a dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He was a respected and loved pastor for 48 years, the last 22 of which were spent faithfully shepherding North Urbana Chapel in Hammondsport, NY. Services will be held at the Harvest Baptist Church in Bath, NY on Wed., July 24, 2013. Calling hours will be from 11am-1pm with the funeral immediately following at 1:00 pm at the church. Howard’s nephew, Pastor Jeff Smith of East Liverpool, OH will preside. Buriwl will be in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath. There will be a meal to follow at the Hammondsport firehall.
