Obituary of Wayne E. Burlingame

Wayne E. Burlingame died Saturday October 5, 2013 at Arnot Ogden in Elmira following open heart surgery after a short illness. He was an Army Veteran, a lifetime member of the VFW and a former member of the Hammondsport Legion. Wayne worked at Corning Inc. from 1948 until he retired in 1987. He was born January 21, 1930 to Oscar and Minnie Burlingame. Wayne was as honest as the day is long, a loving , devoted family man and was loved by many. Including two sons, Dale and Mark Burlingame; four step children, Nora (John) Perkins, Delores (Butch) Shoemaker, Robert (Denise) Brewer and Donna Washburn, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian Crane Burlingame, three brothers and one sister. Friend and family are invited to call at Fagan’s Funeral Home in Bath TODAY, October 9, 2013 from 1:00-3:00 pm with funeral services to follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Jeff McDowell officiating. Burial with military honors, will follow in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath.
