Obituary of Genevieve H. Hough

Genevieve H. Hough, age 83, of Bath, NY, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Penn Yan, NY. She was born June 17, 1930 in Corning, NY the daughter of the late George and Elsie Brown of Addison. Mrs. Hough had worked for the City of Hornell. She loved to play the electric organ and would often be seen riding her bicycle or driving her Red T-Bucket around Bath. She and her husband Bernard Hough were married on December 1, 1979 and celebrated 34 years of marriage this year. She is survived by her husband Bernard R. Hough of Bath; daughters, Shirley (Dave) Ver Straete of Farmington, NY, Nancy (Don) Scott of Raleigh, NC and Barbie (Buddy) Russo of Oswego, NY, step son, Lin (Cindy) Hough of Penn Yan, NY and step daughter, Shelley Hough of Los Angeles, CA, sister, Isabel Cole of Founders Pavilion, Corning, NY, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Francis and Frederick. Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday December 14th from 1:00-3:00pm at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 West Morris St., Bath, NY. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Kitty Ormsby officiating. Burial will be in Nondaga Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Genevieve’s name may be made to the Finger Lakes Humane Society, 7315 State Route 54, Bath, NY 14810.
