Obituary of David L. Edsall

David L. Edsall, age 72, of Bath, NY died January 29, 2014. He was born October 25, 1941 in Bath, NY the son of Lloyd and Amelia Sherwood Edsall. Dave worked for the Taylor Wine Company in Hammondsport, NY for many years and he also worked at Toshiba in Elmira. He was a kind, loving, wonderful partner, father and friend to many. He coached Little League in Hammondsport, and he loved music and singing. Dave sang in church groups and an A Capella group that performed in many area churches. Dave belonged to the Champagne-Whirl-A-Ways modern square dance club and was learning square dance calling. He also belonged to the Let’s Dance Club in Arkport where he and Diane liked to do ballroom dancing. He taught himself to play the fiddle and the guitar and loved country music. He is survived by his partner of 8 years Diane Camp of Bath; two sons, Jeffrey Edsall of Ypsilanti, MI and Andrew (Yuko) Edsall of Tokyo, Japan, one grandchild Ren Edsall of Tokyo, Japan and two brothers, Allen (Sue) Edsall and Warren (Joann) Edsall both of Bath. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 pm at Fagan’s Funeral Home in Bath. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Finger Lakes S.P.C.A., 7315 State Route 54, Bath, NY 14810.
