I will always remember childhood summers at Keuka. We were lucky that my grandparents had the neighboring cottage to Uncle Turk and Aunt Barb. Rest in peace.

Peggy and I are very sad to hear of Turk's passing. He was bigger than life - always happy to see you and have a talk. He loved the kids - is like yesterday when picked me up at our house on Maple Heights over fifty five years ago. Sue invited me to my first dance - the Girl Scouts Dance. We had a great time. Turk was always there to give us a lift somewhere. I remember our ice skating parties on Salubria. He would always have a fire and hot chocolate ready for us.
Good memories.
Best - Peter and Peggy.

Steve, Sue and Family, I remember at a young age my grandmother, Elizabeth Hunter, bringing me to the auction barn with her. Your dad would always introduce her and she would say this is my granddaughter Diane. I loved sitting there with her and watching your dad going through the antiques. Those memories will stay with me forever because he was always so sweet and kind to me and my grandma. You are all in my thoughts and prayers, Diane

My dearest nieces, now 20, 22 & 24 fondly remember going to "The Junk" store and picking up treasures when they were only 6, 8 & 10. We remember your Dad, Turk, gave them special rings for FREE and boy, were they excited. They always clamored to go back because he was so kind to them. Tony's parents both passed in the last year or two, and however prepared you are, you never really are. I lost my Mom when I was 13, and I still feel the loss, not as sharply as you do now. My condelences to the entire family.

Sue and Steve,
We were very saddened to learn of the passing of your dad Turk.
I can remember many times enjoying talking and laughing with him at the auction house. He was my buddy on those Friday evenings.
Safe home Turk.

Sue and Steve...I was saddened to read this and know that you are in thought and prayer. Your dad was a real community fixture. Interestingly, I always was curious as to how he came about that neat nick-name. Now I know! Be good to yourselves and take comfort in your memories. Remember me to Steve's son Ryan, who I enjoyed chatting with briefly while attending the Episcopal Church a few Sundays last summer. Sure looks like his Dad!

Sue and Steve, my heartfelt thoughts are with you and your families at this time of sadness. Uncle Turk always took time to talk with me when I was home for family reunions. The pictures I took of him at the 2011 reunion will always have a special place in my heart. Remember him for the true American hero he was and the wonderful man who raised you.
