Obituary of Harold M. Brownell

Harold M. Brownell, 84 of Waterloo, NY and formerly of Bath, NY, died Monday at the Canandaigua VAMC, Canandaigua , NY. He was born in Bath, NY, the son of the late Raymond and Lillian (Wager) Brownell. Mr. Brownell had worked at Dean Phipps Automotive in Corning and The National Auto Store in Geneva and retired from AL Blades of Hornell. He was a member of the Avoca American Legion and the Sampson Vets. Mr. Brownell was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by his daughter Diane (Robert) Buffone of Waterloo, NY, son Daniel (Joy) Brownell of AZ, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his sister, Marcella Sherwood of Horseheads, NY. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth Chapman Brownell, loving companion Mary Soles and three brothers, Robert, Francis and William Brownell. Friends may call on Friday November 11th from 12:00-2:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 West Morris St., Bath, NY. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Jeff McDowell officiating. Burial will be in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath.
