He was also predeceased by his granddaughter Arlynn Robbins August 20, 2017; sisters, Norma Freeman and Thelma Covert and brothers, Joseph E. and Albert C. Robbins.

Harold was born January 14, 1932 in Bath, the son of the late Joseph K. and Ethel (Knowles) Robbins. He worked on the family farm in his early years and then worked as a Fuller Brush salesman locally, for many years. He also worked at the A & P Plant in Horseheads and then for Steuben County Buildings and Grounds in Corning, NY, until his retirement in 1996. Harold was a lifelong member of the Kanona United Methodist Church, where he held the position of trustee, was a member of the Methodist Men's Club, youth leader, provided for the many chicken dinners at the church, and was one who helped make sure there were always flowers planted out front of the church. Harold was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed dancing the polka, square dancing, snowmobiling, "mopeding", his golf cart, card parties and gardening with his wife and family. He will be remembered for his caring ways; bringing vegetables, showing us how important it is to stop and see others for a visit, especially sick friends and families who had lost loved ones.
Family and friends are invited to call today, July 31st from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath, NY. Funeral services celebrating Harold's life will be held on Thursday August 1, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Kanona United Methodist Church followed by his burial in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Kanona United Methodist Church, PO Box 174, Kanona, NY 14856.
