Taw A. Wilson, age 46, of Hammondsoprt, NY died Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Strong Memorial Hospital, after a long courageous fight for life. He was born July 11, 1973 in Canandaigua, NY the son of Leon Wilson and Mary Lou (Mattoon) Cartwright. Taw was a graduate of Haverling Central School Class of 1991, and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Cortland, where he was a member of the Football Team. Taw lived in Poughkeepsie, NY and worked in NYC for several years before returning to the Bath area. He had worked at Judy's Restaurant in Bath and also helped his brother Nate at the Sport's Station in Bath. Taw was a devoted NY Yankee Fan and loved everything Yankees. He is survived by his daughter, Dereka "Didi" M.A. Wilson, mother and step-dad, Mary Lou and Robert Cartwright, father Leon (Lucy) Wilson, step-daughter, Kelsey Tymel; brothers, Robert (Becky) Cartwright, James Cartwright and Nate (Jessica) Cartwright, half sister Molly (Mike), grandfather, Lewis M. Fraker, special aunt Kimberly M. Fraker, three nieces, one nephew and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his infant son Korvin R.L. Wilson and grandmother Viola Fraker. Taw will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
