Through such joyful images as Chuck flying his plane, taking us for boat rides on Keuka Lake, or serving up a well-cooked meal, I will remember my brother-in-law as he was at his best----a generous and loving man.

Besides always having fun flying with Chuck, I will always miss his constant smile and quick wit. Chuck was great to be with and I am lucky to have been his friend for so many years. Chuck, when you read this, you still owe me a Christmas tree.

Chuck and I commuted into Niagara to fly with the unit and spent many an evening together after our flight day for dinner and a round at the Club. He was quick witted, intelligent, funny and an interesting individual and we became good friends. We flew together on many occasions and I always enjoyed our flyovers at the "Finger Lakes". He was a great squadron mate and his friends, employees and family will miss him. This is a loss we will all endure, especially his family and with a heavy heart I offer them my greatest condolences.

I will never forget the first time I was introduced to Chuck at the Squadron when Col. Routt gave us a quick Bio on his flying and civilian background. It was there that he was awarded his handle by his Squadron mates. i got to know Chuck better in our time together at McConnel AFB in the F-16 qualification course, and in the club on occasion. I am in shock that this has happen, he was such a great guy and funny too at the squadron. I am so glad I was able to talk with him at the last Christmas fighter pilot get together.

I met Chuck on his first day at the Niagara Falls ANG unit. We struck up an immediate friendship. We both left the unit on the same day in 1992. Both of our first sons were born just days apart in 1984. He was a great person, very quick witted and downright funny. The world is now a lesser place. Tailwinds Chuck! Your six is clear.
