Oh the memories! But finding a G- rated one is tricky. I learned a lot from Bill, some of it even legal! One of my oldest memories with Bill was when we were teenagers. We got into a shouting match at the Steuben County Fair against a group of guys from Horseheads. The cops threw us out, so the "discussion" continued into the street. Eventually it turned into a bit of a car chase. Several of us were in Bill's '57 Chevy. When we got close to the Club Valentine we decided to call it quits and go have a beer. About the time we tried to order a drink, there was a phone call to the bar saying the cops were on they way. So, back into Bill's Chevy. About the time he pulled out of the parking lot, the cops were barreling down the road. Bill started winding through the gears as fast as he could. The Beach Boys would have said you could "hear the dual quads drink". I was a bit nervous and told Bill they would get him for speeding. Bill taught me right then that the law only says how fast you can go. It does NOT say how long you have to take to get there! By the way, the evening ended peacefully.
I wish I could sit here and type for several more hours. The stories are endless. Bill was a good old soul. He would give you the shirt off his back. He cared about everybody. Brett did an outstanding job of capturing his Dad's life in the obituary. No one could have said it better. My siblings and I will not attend the visitation tomorrow, but we all plan to raise a glass of Coors Light at 5:00, and light a candle in Billy's memory. Oh man, we are going to miss you Cousin. We love you!

To Bill's family,
Many years of knowing Bill and his travels thru life, his good days and laughter filled the room.
He was part of our group of high school friends and gatherings in our adult years with card and board games, good fun and food.
I thought he was one of the best dancers and loved watching him.We, as a group, have wonderful memories.
Whoever wrote his obit gathered his legacy with true love.
My sincere sympathy goes to all his family and friends who hold fond memories of a hard working man.
