Obituary of Louis F. Snyder

Louis F. Snyder, age 85 years old, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, unexpectedly after an accidental fall at home that caused many complications. He was surrounded by his loving family prior to his going home to be the Lord. Louis was born on January 11, 1936 to the late Franklin L. Snyder and Bernice B. Perry. Predeceased by his loving wife Joyce A. (Buchanan) Snyder of 48 years in (Dec 2005) and granddaughter Chassadey (Jan 1986). Louis is survived by his 9 children; Vicki (Dan) Wright and Diane (Bill) Jann of Bath, NY, Brenda (Mark) Snyder of Wellsville, NY, Mike (Christina) Snyder, Elaine (Rich) Hall and Sam (Mary Lou) Snyder of Bath, NY, Laurie Snyder-Nadjadi of Campbell, NY, Daniel (Lisa) Snyder of Carthage, NY and Jennifer Snyder of Bath, NY, 27 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and many other close family and friends that he loved with all his heart. Our Dad loved life to the fullest. He loved sitting on his porch watching wildlife on sunny days. His life was spent working, mowing yards, cutting wood, hunting, fishing, trapping and fixing things. He loved going to the races, dancing and being with his family. He lived for picnics, family get-togethers and spending time with special friends. Sometimes you could catch him watching Judge Judy or WWE Wrestling on TV, but only on rainy days. He retired from Babcock Ladder Company and continued to work at Bath Country Club as groundskeeper right up until last year. He leaves this world in body, but will continue to live in our hearts, memories and souls. To know him was to love him. Private services will be held according to the families wishes.
