Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James Richard Hojnoski, 69, of Bath, NY, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family and loved ones, on July 23, 2021. He was born August 26, 1951, the son of Joseph and Ruth (Mills) Hojnoski. Jim attended Bath-Haverling Central School before being drafted into the US Army in 1971. He was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, Fort Dix, NJ and Fort Knox, Kentucky where he received the expert marksmanship award. After his service with the military ended Jim was employed by Corning Incorporated, Penske Enterprises and Philips Lighting where he was employed for over 30 years. Jim was a passionate sports fan. His love for the Buffalo Bills and NY Yankees was always present on game days. Jim spent many hours working with the area youth programs, such as being President of the Bath Little League and coaching in both the Bath Youth Football and Vince Lombardi Leagues. In his free time he enjoyed owning Harley Davidson motorcycles and many of his "bucket list" automobiles that he had always wanted to own. He spent many hours detailing them as he was a very meticulous person. He is predeceased by both of his parents, and sister, Joan Hojnoski. Survivors include his sisters Stormi Roberts (Florida), Jude (Mark) Bardeen (Bath), Joyce Loza (Bath) and Joy (Wayne) Weber and by brothers, Joel (Lori) Hojnoski (Bath) and Jeff Hojnoski (Bath). His children; Jamie (Sabrina) Hojnoski, Chad (Jessica) Hojnoski, Holly (Todd) Kerr-Feldmann and Nick Hojnoski. Along with his grandchildren, Helaina and Sydney Hojnoski, Cameron McPherson and Mila Hojnoski, Dominic and Blayne Hojnoski and Sawyer Kerr as well as his great grandchildren Cooper James Berglund and Jaxon Everett Berglund. There will be a celebration of life at a later time to be determined.
