Obituary of Rebecca A. Sodeman

Rebecca A. Sodeman, 52 years old, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021. She is survived by her loving husband, Scott Sodeman; two sons, Christopher and Tyler Sodeman, her granddaughter, Cerissa Sodeman-Hoad, her mother, Frances; sisters, Michelle, Barbara and Margaret and aunts, nephews and nieces. She loved her granddaughter, Cerissa, more than life itself. She loved her husband and her two sons. The most important thing to her was family, if you messed with her family, you would have to deal with Becky personally. She always stood by their side no matter what. She loved her dogs and they were always a part of the family too. She also loved planting and grew the most beautiful flowers. She also loved watching children grow and gained more children every year. Her yard would be filled with bikes and no matter how many kids were there, she always made enough dinner for everybody. So many people called her Mom. She was the most wonderful person in the world with the kindest soul. She would give her shirt off her back to anyone in need. Rebecca loved her family and friends. She worked at the Chat A Whyle as a baker. She was the one that made the "famous sticky buns". She will always be known as the "Sticky Bun Queen". The Chat A Whyle was where she met her best friend, Rachel, she got to know her and her two children, Lita and Jordan, and called them her grandkids as well. She would make a special sticky bun for Jordan every Saturday. Becky had worked at the Chat A Whyle previously. She worked there for four years. She gained a lot of customers and her heart was touched by them all. Since the Chat A Whyle reopened she gained more family members than before. She helped wherever she could and taught the other bakers all her tricks for making the sticky buns. A celebration of Rebecca's life will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 12:00-6:00 pm at Mossy Bank Park. We are going to be launching purple balloons at 4:00 pm in memory of Rebecca.
