Obituary of Margaret Pribble
Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Margaret (Rauscher) Pribble was born January 28, 1929 to Bertha and Elmer (West Leyden, NY), and she was a force to be reckoned with from that day forward until September 15, 2021 (Arkport, NY). Marg and husband Mike (Phillip) were a power couple for 60 years as they built their horse farm and many fond memories for all of snowmobiling, cross country skiing, canning, baking, roller skating, swimming, berry picking, and storytelling in West Leyden.
Margaret was first in a long line of gym teachers! For 35 years she coached and taught at Adirondack School and it didn't end there after retirement. She never missed a game, academic event, or 4-H show for her grandkids! Even when those were said and done her kitchen table remained open at all hours to go over the stats of college/career changes or just life in general.
Margaret will forever be remembered as #1 fan of many people but especially for the following:
Daughter Patricia (Brian) Robords, Arkport NY; Son Stephen Pribble, West Leyden NY
Grandchildren : Nicole (Tucker) Lampman, Boonville, NY; Cassandra (Dennis) Bauer, Springwater NY, Curtis (Emily) Robords, Fredericksburg VA; Maci Pribble, West Leyden NY
Great Grandchildren : Alenna Murphy, Boonville NY; Quincy Mae Bauer, Springwater, NY.
Margaret's loved ones would like to convey a huge amount of gratitude to Sanna Jackson and her family for opening up their home to care for Margaret over the last few years.
A casual memorial service will be held on October 1, 10 am at the Robords Family Pond in Arkport, which was one of her favorite spots to hang out and feed the fish at. Internment will be at the West Leyden Cemetery at noon on October 2. A celebration of life will follow this, tbd.
In lieu of flowers please go spend some time outside hiking, kicking a ball around, walking a dog, or simply just enjoying nature with a loved one. Those still wanting to donate even after that, consider the Alzheimer's Association.
