John C. Fullmer, age 76, of Kanona, NY died October 12, 2021 peacefully at home. He was born January 13, 1945 in Bath, NY the son of the late William and Neva (McGlynn) Fullmer. John was a graduate of Bath Haverling High School, Class of 1963 and he also attended Mitchel College of Long Island. He served in the US Air Force for four years, stationed in Long Island, Airman First Class John C. Fullmer was assigned to the 3rd Air Police Squadron, Bein Hoa Air Base and Republic of Vietnam from April 20, 1966-April 9, 1967. John retired from the Town of Bath Highway Department in 2001 after 36 years of service. He also worked at the Babcock Theater and Bath Drive-Inn Movie theater as the projectionist. John was an active Grange member and attended the Bath Baptist Church. He helped coach Football and Little League Baseball. He was a member of the Charles E. Wescott American Legion Post 173. John had a lot of love for the Fullmer family and Fullmer farm. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt deer and turkey. He always enjoyed his coffee time and gossiping with the truck drivers at the Kanona truck stop, and especially enjoyed playing chess with his best friend. He will be missed by all. It will always be remembered when he was asked how he was doing, his answer was always "I'm rotten, mean and miserable" which always made you smile, and we believed that it was always his intent. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon Fullmer of Kanona, NY, daughter Nannette (Jeremy) Worrell of Wyalusing, PA; four sons, John Jr. (Margaret) Fullmer of Bath, NY and their children, Danielle, Brittany and Tyler, Wayne (Sue) Fullmer of Bloomfield, NY and their son USN AO3 (SW) Alex Fullmer, Donald (Travica) Fullmer of St. Louis, MO and their sons, Aidyn, Braydon and Lucas, and Craig (Shawna) Fullmer of Kanona, NY and their children Milo and Veda Evangeline; brothers, Jim Fullmer and Bob (Lois) Fullmer both of Bath, NY; sisters, Nancy Fullmer of Bath, NY, Mary (Mike) McConnell of NC and Bonnie Kellogg of Horseheads, NY and several cousins, nephews and nieces. John was predeceased by his parents, sisters; Doris King, Betty Dove and Kay Fullmer and best friend Bob Betty of Bath, NY. Family and friends are invited to the calling hours at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath on Monday October 18, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 and 5:00-7:00 PM with a memorial service at 7:00 PM. A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Bath National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
