Elizabeth (Dingwell) Fraser of Bath, NY passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 15, 1931 in Ports-aux-Basques, NFLD, to Donald and Cedella Dingwell. She is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, Herbert Fraser. They met in Corner Brook, NFLD when Herb was stationed there with the Army Air Corps. They married in August 1949 and moved to Corning, NY. Also survived by five daughters; Linda (Don) Herbert, Terry (Dave) Austin, Nancy (Galen) Root, Gloria (Don) Burgess and Selena Fraser; grandchildren, Heather (Kendall) Topley, Dawn Herbert and Jason Stephen, Shane (Lisa) Austin, Shawn (Amie) Austin, Tom Root and Tammy Knowles, Tammy Rooney, Galen Root, Brett Root and Bonnie Gibbs, Jason Burgess, Joshua (Samantha) Burgess, Zach Livingston and Matt Livingston; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters, Bernice Buckle, Verna (Russ) Ward. She was predeceased by her brothers, Donald Dingwell, Gilbert Poole and Roy Poole. Mom worked at JC Penney for over 20 years and retired as catalog supervisor. She loved to bowl and she and dad were part of a league at Crystal Lanes for many years. Mom loved doing all kinds of crafting, sewing and quilting. While living in Florida she found a love for bingo and poker. Mom battled many health issues in the last few years, but always managed to pull through with her strong will to live. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Mom was also very dedicated to her cat Tabby, who predeceased her earlier this year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fingerlakes SPCA, 72 Cameron Street, Bath, NY 14810. A Celebration of Elizabeth's Life will be held at a future date, at the convenience of the family.
