Obituary of Anthony Joseph Rechichi Jr.

Anthony Joseph (Joe) Rechichi Jr., 84, of Bath, NY left this world for heaven on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Joe was born on 6/21/37 in Hornell to Anthony J. Sr. and Dorthy Rechichi. Joe married Mary G. Urlaub on 5/4/57 in Omaha, NE. Joe and Mary enjoyed a long wonderful life together for nearly 65 years. Joe served 20 years in the US Air Force, retiring with several honors and medals. He returned to Steuben County Bath area where he worked at the Bath VA Medical Center retiring as Warehouse Foreman after 20 years. Joe and Mary enjoyed many winter seasons in Eustis, FL with his father, his father's wife Maxine and his siblings. Joe was a dedicated member of the Bath American Legion, Post 173 for 43 years where he served as Commander. He was also a lifetime member of the V.F.W. in Bath. Surviving are his loving wife Mary; sons, Anthony J. III and Daniel (Christine) Rechichi and daughter Sherry (Steve) Clark; grandchildren, Anthony J. IV, James, Brian, Lillian, Sadie, Daniel, Jason and Michael Rechichi, Carlos Garcia and Cassidy and Jessica Clark; great grandchildren, Connor, Grace, Chloe, Kylie and Charlie June Rechichi and Alyssa and Jaxson Garret; brothers, Gary (Faith) and Joseph Rechichi; sisters, Diane Campbell, Doris Councilman and Carol Benedict and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, step-mother Maxine Rechichi and granddaughter Rachel Clark. There will be no calling hours. Graveside services with military honors will be at the Bath National Cemetery on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at the V.F.W., State Rte 54, Bath immediately following the graveside service.
