Obituary of Deborah Sue Schosek

Deborah Sue Schosek, age 72, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at
Ira Davenport Hospital in Bath, NY. She was born in Bath, NY on November 3,
1949 and was a proud resident of the area her whole life.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents John and Betty Pym. She is
survived by her husband Paul of 45 years; brother, John Michael Pym and
sister Cynthia Pym (Thomas Beers); son, Benjamin Schosek (Melissa) of
Wilmington, NC; daughter, Stephanie Mehlenbacher (Josh Polito) of
Wayland, NY; seven grandchildren, Kathryn and Libby Schosek, Issac,
Ethan, Addie Mehlenbacher, and Sam and Jake Polito.
Debbie was a dedicated teacher’s aide at Avoca Central School for many years. After she
retired, she was able to start her dream job of being a full-time grandma. Family was everything
to her, and she devoted her life to each and every member.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 5-7 pm and Wednesday, February
9 from 1-2 pm at Fagan’s Funeral Home, 31 West Morris Street in Bath, NY. Funeral services
for friends and family will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday. Final interment will be at the
discretion of the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the charity of your choice in honor of our beloved
mom and grandma.
