Obituary of Vance S. Pyer

Vance S. Pyer, age 80, of Bath, NY died June 26, 2022 at the Steuben Center in Bath after a long term illness.  He was born in Hornell, NY on September 6, 1941, the son of Earl and May (Eves) Pyer.  Vance Pyer was retired from Steuben County where he worked as a security guard and in maintenance.  He enjoyed traveling with his wife after retirement.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren; Paul and Esther Pyer, and children, Katelyn Pyer and Nadine Pyer; Paula Pyer and children, Jody Rodriguez and Wayne Cobb; Becky and Brian Cady and children, Valerie Miller, Donna Sommer and Brian Cady; Anna and James Mullikin and children, Jamie Brown, Rachel Cooper and James Mullikin II; Laurie and John Emery and children, John Emery III, Debra Emery and Donald Emery; Rosie Johndro; Melissa and Ted Martin and children, Jennifer Martin and Amanda Martin; Richard Johndro and children, April Towner, James Clymo and David Clymo; Mary and Rex Inscho and children, Desirea Houck, Ashley Inscho, Jenifer Colfer and Mike Inscho; and Carrie and Todd Kniffin and children, Austin Kniffin and Hannah Kniffin as well as 37 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his wife Leona "Joyce" Pyer and his siblings.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on July 18, 0222 at 12:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath, NY.
