Anne and i dated for almost two years and i still vividly recall her laugh and her smile. She always seemed to be in a good mood and infected everyone around her with it. I remember when she was going to school in Miami. My telephone bills were very, very, high. I lost touch with her for many years and i can only hope that she enjoyed her later years as much as her early life.. Good bye Anne, i will think of all the good times we had. Dean P.S. Please let me know when the memorial service will be held..

When I heard of Annie's passing I felt like a hole had been dug inside me. I was significantly affected by the passing of this woman who meant so much to me in my camp days many moons ago. Because I felt her passing so keenly, I was compelled to write about it. It was a little piece titled Day is Done, and in recognition of her bugling at camp, it ended with the words from Taps:
Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.

Dear Family and Friends,
Please know I am thinking of all of you. I hope you will find comfort in positive and happy memories you keep of Annie.
Annie and I were bunkies my first two years at The Elms and got together on occasional school year weekends. Her independent and upbeat spirit had a great influence that now is a part of me. We even recently talked...nothing's changed! Annie was that true a friend.
Sweet taps to you, my beloved bunkie. Wendy

Please accept my sympathies on Annie's very young death. I remember her only from The Elms Camp as a lively, energetic and enthusiastic camper with that beautiful red hair!
