Obituary of Barbara V. Kulikowski

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara (VanDusen) Kulikowski, age 87, on December 24, 2022, at Bampa's House in Corning, NY.  She was born on December 15, 1935 to John and Gertrude VanDusen.

Barb graduated from Haverling High School in Bath in 1953, and then went on to attend business school.  Her career as a bookkeeper began at F.W. Bradley & Sons, followed by Empire Livestock, then ended in retirement from Bath National Bank.

She married the love of her life, John Kulikowski, on May 4, 1957, and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage until his passing in 2010.  They shared many hobbies including square dancing with the Champagne Whirl-A-Ways, and camping.  She also enjoyed bowling and card playing with her group of ladies, and reading a good book.

In addition to her husband, Barb's greatest joy was her love of family.  She was Mom to her sons John "Mark" (Erin) and Gregory (Chris) both of Bath, NY; Nana to her grandchildren, Heather (Matthew) Lagonegro of Elmira, NY, Tanner, Tyler and Michaela Kulikowski of Bath, NY, and her great grandson Jacob Lagonegro of Elmira, NY; Aunt Barb to many nieces and nephews; and "Ma" Kulikowski to all of her honorary children throughout her life, who all survive her.

She was predeceased by her husband John; sister Beverly; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Hank and Ellie, Al Kulikowski and Sophie Romanke; niece Barbara (Bradley) Clapp; and many dear friends.  She missed them terribly.

She was a little lady with a big heart and a beautiful soul.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Words cannot describe the appreciation for all the care and love she received at Bampa's House, where Barb spent her final days.  Dean and staff and CareFirst staff - thank you, you are truly wonderful!

Family and friends are invited to call at Fagan's Funeral Home on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 11:00-2:00 pm.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath.
