Obituary of Peter James Koseba

Peter James Koseba (Jim), 89 of Bath, NY died on June 20, 2023 at the Bath VA Medical Center. 

Jim was born in South Bradford, NY to parents, Peter & Helen Koseba on April 28, 1934.  He graduated from Bradford Central School in 1952.  After graduating high school, he joined the USMC, serving during the Korean war.  After active service, he served in the Reserves and then the National Guard. 

After working for many years, Pete/Jim found a home at Philips Lighting where he worked, and subsequently retired, as a machinist for over twenty-five years.

Jimmy enjoyed puttering in his workshop, being in nature, spending time with his family, and joking with those he cared about… 

He is survived by son Don (Mel) Koseba, daughters Cheryl (Mike) Stephenson, Sandi (Randy) Wilcox, grandchildren Candice Oliver, Heather Hammond, Seth Chitty, Jennifer Clark, Whitney Chitty, Emily Stephenson, Kaleb Chitty, Hannah Stephenson, their spouses/significant others and many great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley Mulliken Koseba, his sister Pat Naylor, and granddaughter Nicole Chitty.

Funeral Services are  planned for 11:00 am on July 10, 2023 at the Bath National Cemetery.  All are invited to join us in celebrating Jim’s life at the Bath Legion after the service.  Condolences may be made at www.fagansfuneralhome.com.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Bath VA Medical Center Attn: Voluntary Service (Hospice), 76 Veterans Ave., Bath NY 14810.
