Obituary of Shirley A. Stamp
Shirley A. Stamp, 81, died peacefully in her home on Thursday 9/7. She was surrounded by family and her loving dog, Stella.
Shirley was born in Bath, New York to Gladys Ruth Ferguson Gardiner and George Dewey Gardiner on October 5th, 1941. She was one of sixteen brothers and sisters.
She attended Haverling High school and graduated in 1960. She was employed at the Grants store; Gold Seal and her last employment was at Ira Davenport Hospital before she retired.
Shirley loved all types of flowers as anyone can see when driving past her house. She loved her dog Stella who was by her side every minute of the day. She also loved the old-time cowboy TV shows such as Bonanza, Laramie, and the Tales of Wells Fargo.
Shirley is survived by her only remaining sister Sandy Gardiner who resides in Campbell, New York and who was the youngest of the family. Her two daughters and one son; Renee Miller (Pete), Robin Eisele (Kevin) and Troy Galligan. Her seven grandchildren: Kayla Bilger (Dustin), Samantha Miller, Amber Hunter, Alex Galligan, Tammy Wheeler (Tim), Peter Miller Jr (Dawn), Rachel Miller, Danielle Decker (James) Christopher Eisele (Stephanie), Brittany Eisele (Ramsey); nineteen great grandchildren, two great greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be at the Bath Kingdom Hall on Washington Street extension in Bath, NY at 2 pm on Saturday, September 23rd.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA or the Cancer Society in Shirley’s name.
