Obituary of Ralph F. Lane
Ralph F. Lane passed away at his home on Lamoka Lake in Tyrone, NY on January 9, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Molly, son, Robert (Jennifer) Lane of Buffalo, daughter, Robyn (Edward) Kiklowicz of Tyrone; grandchildren, Ryan (Olivia) Lane of Buffalo, Kailyn Lane of Buffalo and Jakob Black of Tyrone and nephew Scott (Sheri) Kimble of Webster.
Ralph was predeceased by parents, Frederick and Roberta Lane. He grew up in Endicott, NY and attended Broome Community College and Purdue University. He also served in the US Army Reserves Hospital Unit. He lived in Owego, NY and was an Electrical Engineer at IBM's Federal Systems Division. After retiring he moved to Lamoka Lake.
Ralph enjoyed stream fishing with his father, lake and ice fishing, snowmobiling, and woodworking. He loved to cruise with Holland America and traveled many places. His favorites were Antarctica, Uruguay, Alaska, Greece, Estonia and the Panama Canal. He especially loved his many trips to Disney World. He always talked about his bike trip in Croatia and ending up at a small winery.
Ralph suffered with cancer for seven long years. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Hospice Team at Care First, the staff at Corning Hospital's Cancer Center and the hospital's 2 North Unit.
At the request of the family, there will be no services. Burial will be in the Tyrone Union Cemetery. Memorial donations in Ralph's name may be made to Care First Hospice https://carefirstny.org/.
