Obituary of Frank C. Helm

Franklyn "Frank" C. Helm, age 87, of Bath, NY died Monday, January 15, 2024 at the Taylor Health Center. He was born August 31, 1936 in Thurston, NY, the son of Herbert E. and Maude D. (Brown) Helm.  Frank attended school in Avoca, NY.  He owned a Dairy Farm from 1956-1973. Frank was a member and Past President of the NFO, and went to Washington, DC to advocate for better agricultural pricing. Frank owned and operated a farm equipment dealership and repair shop in Bath until his retirement. Frank had his pilot's license and loved to fly, and he had many stories about that.  He loved to tell stories and joke, and he will be remembered as a wonderful friend who was always fun to be around.

Frank is survived by his two sons; Floyd (Sylvia) Helm and Phil (Penny) Helm; three daughters, Fawn (Ron) Masti, Faith (Carl) Preston and Frankie (Casey) Burns; step children, Kim (Joel) Havens and Dean (Cheryl) Helm, his sister Sandy (Clyde) Thompson and brother Scott Helm, 19 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years Karen Rae Helm; sisters Joan, Pat and Dorothy and step daughter Patricia Chapman.

There will be a celebration of life for Frank at the farm he grew up on, 4808 Hopper Road, Bath, NY, on May 17th, at 4:00 pm, followed by a luncheon for his friends and family to tell stories and celebrate Frank's life.  Bring your stories to tell.
