Obituary of Marjorie M. Rumsey
Marjorie Williams Rumsey died peacefully at home on February 1, 2024. She was born May 3, 1936 in Seneca Falls, NY to the late William Williams Sr. and Wilma Wolff. Marjorie married the love of her life Gerald Rumsey on April 14, 1956, and they were married 52 years. They had three children; Timothy (Karen) Rumsey of Bath, Kelly (Danny) Wilson of Cameron Mills and Douglas (Valerie) Rumsey of Bath; five grandchildren, Jeramy (Joelle) Rumsey, Katlyn (David) Kane, Anthony Rumsey, Tyler (Alexis) Wilson and Kyle Wilson (Trinity Zeh); five great grandchildren with one on the way, Hadley Wilson, Ayden Wilson, Poppy Rumsey, Oliver Kane and Emma Kane; her brothers, John (Carol) Williams of Cohocton and William Williams Jr. of Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her loving husband Gerald, both parents, brothers Roger and Fred Williams, brother-in-law and several sisters-in-law.
Marjorie worked at Bath Haverling Central School in the Cafeteria. She was a member of St. John Vianney Parish in Bath. Marjorie volunteered for the Bath Ambulance Corps for many years. She loved going to yard and estate sales, but especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Thursday February 8, 2024 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 pm at the funeral home with Father James Jaeger officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Wayland, NY.
