Obituary of Rosemary A. Clairemont

Rosemary A. Clairemont of Bath, NY, passed away Monday morning, July 29, 2024, at the age of 85.

Born in Avoca, NY, Rosemary was the daughter of the late Albert and Marion Hubbard. Rosie was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support for her family, friends and community. She graduated from Avoca Central School, moving to St. Joseph’s to pursue nursing. After her long career as a RN and retiring from the Bath VA, she spent her time volunteering for many local community agencies and was an active member in St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Rosie was preceded in death by her son Douglas Klose, husband Gary Clairemont, brother David Hubbard, and sister Nancy Slayton. She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Carl), grandchildren Scott (Sarah) and Toni, and her great granddaughters, Annie, Maggie and Jane who were the apple of her eye. Also survived by her brother-in-law, William Slayton, and sister-in-law, Gretchen Hubbard. She had a special place in her heart for her many nieces and nephews, loving their visits. Family was most important to Rosie, and this included her extended Clairemont family. Her many friends throughout the years brought true joy to her life.

If desired, memorial contributions in Rosie’s name may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 32 E. Morris St, Bath, NY 14810.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Fagan’s Funeral Home, 31 West Morris St Bath, where funeral services will take place following calling hours at 6 pm. Rosie’s final resting place will be at St. Pius Cemetery in Cohocton, NY.
