Obituary of Frank Lee Rounsville
Frank Lee Rounsville passed away on January 13, 2025, in Bath, NY. Born in Blossburg, PA, on December 30, 1948, Frank's journey through life was one marked by love and service.
Frank was a graduate of Cohocton Central School and then he honorably served his country as a member of the US Navy from 1968 to 1970. His work ethic was admirable; he was dedicated to Mercury Aircraft, spent years on the road driving a tractor-trailer, and was a familiar face to many as he delivered newspapers in his community. Frank's commitment to his work was only surpassed by his dedication to his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa who he shared countless cherished moments with. He is is also survived by his siblings, Janet Matthews, Fran (Jack) Miller and Sandy (Sam) McCartney. His legacy continues through his son, Chris (Jeanne) Rounsville, and his daughter, Kimberly Rounsville. Frank was a cherished stepfather to Charlene (Phil) Robinson, Jason Berg, and Jacob Berg. His grandchildren Kyle Barnhart, Kassandra Barnhart, Megan Rounsville, Amber Rounsville, Dalton Robinson, Daniel Robinson, Gavin Berg & Brielle Berg brought him immense joy and he shared an inseparable bond with his grandson, Lincoln Berg. In addition to many great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank's home was filled with love not only for his family but also for his beloved dogs, Bella and Phelps, who were his constant companions.
An individual of many passions, Frank was known for his fun-loving spirit that brought life to every gathering. He was an excellent cook whose meals were the highlight of family events. His love for playing golf was only matched by his incredible talent as a carpenter. Frank will be remembered as a good friend with a big heart, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a laugh.
Those who knew Frank will recall a man who was the epitome of kindness, friendliness, and love. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose presence could light up a room. His warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and his ability to connect with people was truly special.
Frank's story does not end with his passing; it continues in the lives of those he loved and the countless memories they will carry forward. As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of the joy he brought into our lives and the unwavering spirit with which he approached each day. Frank will be dearly missed, but his legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. A celebration of his life will be held at Redefined Church 2 W Main St Atlanta NY Saturday January 18, 2025 at 11 am and will continue at the Charles E. Wescott American Legion Post 173 in Bath at 1pm.
