Obituary of David S. Dallaportas

Dallaportas, David S. Age 67 of Bath, NY, peacefully passed away in his home on April 2, 2015. Dave was born on February 2, 1948 in Wayland, NY, and was the oldest of three sons to LaVerne and Betty Behe Dallaportas. Dave was a lifelong educator who retired as an administrator from the Horseheads Central School District at the age of 60. He was an avid tennis player, traveler, reader, and supporter of both Bath and Horseheads sports teams. Dave was the most loving father, supportive husband and brother, and caring friend who lived each day to the fullest, and cared deeply for all those who brought daily joy to his life. He was predeceased by his mother, Betty Behe Dallaportas. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Veronica Infantino Dallaportas; loving daughter, Alexis Dallaportas of Worcester, MA; father, LaVerne Dallaportas of Orlando, FL; brothers Robert (Mary Jane) Dallaportas of Sanford, FL, and Mark (Leeanna) Dallaportas of Mt. Dora, FL; as well as several extraordinary nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will welcome relatives and friends on Friday, April 10th at St. Mary's Church, 32 E Morris St, Bath, NY 14810, for calling hours from 3-4pm, with a brief memorial service to immediately follow. The family graciously accepts remembrances with donations in Dave's memory to the American Heart Association , 25 Circle St, Suite 102, Rochester, NY 14607, the Bath VA, 76 Veterans Ave, Bath, NY, 14810, the Finger Lakes SPCA, 7315 State Route 54, Bath, NY 14810, or a charity of one's own choosing.
