Obituary of Warren Weldon Severance

Warren Weldon Severance, age 93, of Bath, NY, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on Friday, July 17, 2015. He was born April 3, 1922 in Bath, NY the son of the late Earl J. and Grace Louise (Warren) Severance. He was a World War II US Navy Veteran. He retired from the Bath VA Medical Center in 1978 after 35 years of service. Mr. Severance was a 65 year life member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Bath B.P.O.E. 1547 and also was the Secretary of the Bath Lodge for 27 years. He was a member of the Bath Masonic Lodge, the Charles E. Wescott American Legion Post 173, VFW Post 1470 in Bath, NARFE and the Bath Country Club. He was a strong supporter of the American Red Cross Blood Bank.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty A.(Loper) Palmer Severance of Bath; two daughters, Roxanne (Jeffery) Knowles of Palm Bay, FL. and C. Renee (John) Jackson of Wayland, NY; three grandchildren, Joshua (Elizabeth) Knowles, Jennifer Knowles and Jessica Knowles and two great grandsons, Landen Slater and Hayden Knowles.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday July 21st from 6:00-8:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 West Morris St., Bath, NY. An Elks service will be held at 7:30 pm and a memorial service will follow at 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment with military honors will be in the Bath National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to a charity of one's choice
