Christopher M. Yarka, age 55, of Bath, NY died Friday, October 23, 2015 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. He was born April 22, 1960 in Bath, NY the son of Chester and Beverly (Smith) Yarka. He worked for Bennett's Auto Parts of Bath. Chris loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Lori J. Yarka; children, Lucus Yarka, Owen Yarka, Mathew Lafler, Melinda Yarka, Christin Yarka-Fry, Ashleigh Yarka-Jacques and Melissa Lafler, several grandchildren, his mother Beverly Ashcraft; brothers, Rick Yarka, Mark Yarka and Steven Ashcraft and sisters, JoAnn Yarka and Brandy Ashcraft and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Michael Lafler, father Chester Yarka and brother David Yarka.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life at the Bath V.F.W. on Tuesday October 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm.
