Obituary of Richard A. Bocek

Richard Albert Bocek, 87, of Longmont, CO, died May 14, 2016 at Louisville Hospice Care. Richard was born in Scranton, PA to Michael and Mary Bocek on January 28, 1929. He went to high school at Bradford Central School and graduated in 1948. He was self-employed as a roofing and siding contractor. His greatest joy came from taking care of his family. Richard is survived by his wife, Rita, son Richard Bocek/Barbrey, daughter Becky Reu/Jim Franklin, his grandchildren, Kelly Bocek, Jennifer/Brian Mack, Annie Bocek, Scott Reu, his great-grandson John Mack, his sister Betty, and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Ronald, his parents Michael and Mary Bocek, his brother Michael and his sister Barbara Bedient. Funeral service will be held at St Stanislaus Church on Saturday, May 21 at 10 a.m. with Father Pat Connor officiating. Burial will follow at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Bath, New York with a lunch immediately following the grave side service at St. Stanislaus. Visitation will be held at Fagan's Funeral home on Friday, May 20 from 6 – 9 p.m. Fagan's will be handling the funeral arrangements and condolences may be made at www.fagansfuneralhome.com.
