Obituary of Virginia H. Hyer

Virginia H. Hyer, age 86, of Bath, NY, died Sunday, January 29, 2017 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Bath, May 11, 1930, the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Florence M. (Towner) Allen. Mrs. Hyer was retired from Polly-O Dairy of Campbell, NY. She was a member of the Gateway Community Church in Bath. She enjoyed playing cards and camping and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Roger (Linda) Hyer of Bath, NY, Ronald Hyer of Savona, NY, Theresa Sullivan, Susan Jackson, Sherri (Larry) Lawton and Lynn (Audrey) Hyer all of Bath, NY, many grandchildren, many many great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her lifetime camping and card playing buddy Esther Bowman. She was predeceased by her husband David Melvin Hyer, son, Lyle Hyer, grandson, Michael S. Conrad, sister Vera Marie Clark and son-in-law, Edward Jackson Sr. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Claudia Browning officiating. A graveside service will follow at Nondaga Cemetery, Bath, and a celebration of her life will be held at the Bath V.F.W. Post 1470 immediately following the burial.
