Obituary of Ralph J. Keeney

Ralph J. Keeney, Jr., age 65, of Avoca, NY, died at home June 21, 2012. He was born in Bath, NY April 10, 1947 the son of Ralph J. Sr. and Ellen Prescott Keeney. He was an Army Vietnam Veteran. Ralph was an exceptional Flooring Installer and contractor. He enjoyed Hang Gliding for many years and flying his Ultralight . Ralph also loved making wine and raising rainbow trout in his pond. He was an avid guitar player. He is survived by his wife Anne Cook Keeney of Avoca; children, Joseph Keeney of Raleigh, NC, Richard Keeney of Rochester, NY, Adam Haviland of Denver, CO, Aaron Keeney of Charlotte, NC and Sarah Keeney of Avoca, NY, granddaughter, Brianna Guererri; brothers, Paul Keeney, Guy (Jean) Keeney of Avoca, NY and Ray (Nancy) Keeney of Rochester, NY; sisters,Gloria (Raymond) Bowen of Watkins Glen, NY, Sharon Welch of Rochester, NY and Julia Krauss of IL, his very special uncle Glenn Prescott and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. Family and friends are invited to call at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath on Sunday July 1, 2012 from 1:00-3:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 pm. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday July 3, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Bath National Cemetery with Military Honors.
