He was my home room teacher in 7th grade, and my history teacher, also our class advisor to the class of 1969. He just was a wonderful person, a great inspiration to so many of us as we were growing up. My condolences to your family. My maiden name was Shoemaker and I moved from the area 57 years ago and live in Arizon and so glad a classmate let me know of his passing. Kitchie

We were certainly very sad to hear of Joe's passing and send our condolences to June and the rest of Joe's family. He was a wonderful man and an outstanding school administrator who was such a positive influence in the careers of so many at Haverling. We both have so many fond memories of Joe and certainly owe him a debt of gratitude for all he did for us. Tom and Deb Hagadorn
