Matt, Charlie and Barb.
In the 40 years of so that Steve and I have been friends we have seen many thing and laughed lots.....Racing of course was always the best with him, because he knew so much. My heart is breaking and breaks more when I think of this awful thing that has happened. I considered Steve my best friend, because I could pick up the phone and it was like we had just seen each other yesterday. Judy and I are so very sorry for all of you. Take consolation that you boys had a great Dad and Barb still had a friend. He will be missed and this Canadian will never forget his best friend.....RIP Steve, until we meet again....

Steve will always be my most favorite flag man ever! I remember watching him flag at Dundee when I was a kid in the grandstands rooting on my dad .And then being the flag man for many of my ROC wins . We became friends at that time.He told me at one time he was the reason I was winning when I did because every time he flagged I one.It was all just having fun but dame good times .He'll be missed but never forgotten.
