Obituary of Margaret A. Hogan

________________________________________________________________________________ Margaret A. Hogan, age 78, of Bath, NY died, August 4th 2012 at home. She was born in Hicksville, Long Island on December 14, 1933, to Samuel and Dorothy (Fegan) Burke. Margaret married Paul Hogan and celebrated 42 years together. During that time she attended college and received a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Nursing. She retired from the Bath Veterans Administration as a Nurse Practitioner. Margaret loved to garden, travel, and buy and sell antiques. Margaret was also a member of St. Mary's Church in Bath. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving Margaret, her husband, Paul P. Hogan, 2 daughters Kathy Rock and Pat (John) Fish, a son, Michael Rock, three brothers,Samuel,James, and Timothy Burke, four sisters Maureen Wolcott, Patricia Dwyer, Sara Bellanger, and Ellen Raymond, two grandchildren Margaret "Meggie" Fish and Jessica Fish, many nieces and nephews. Predeceasing Margaret are two sisters, Joan Veeder, and Agnes Burke, two brothers, William and Walter Burke. Calling hours will be today August 8th at Fagan's Funeral Home, Bath, NY from 1-3PM and 6-8PM, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 9th at 11AM, at St. Pius Church in Cohocton, NY, with Rev. Mike Twardzik presiding. A graveside service will be in St. Pius Cemetery, Cohocton, NY, following the mass.
