Robert L. Gilbert, age 76, of Cameron Mills, NY died January 10, 2018 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Jean Gardiner Gilbert of Cameron Mills, his daughter: Sally Gilbert (Mark) of Cameron Mills, NY, grandchildren, Heather (Kris) Arnold, Lisa (Herman) and Jeffrey Robert (Brandon); siblings, Doris Robinson, Beverly Stafford (Hugh), Kenny Gilbert (Betty Jean), Virginia Lyons, Sharon Boehl (Glenn) and Irene Applebee and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son, Bobby Gilbert; brothers, Ed, Larry and James Gilbert and sisters, Bernie Brady and Peggy Brewer. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, January 15th from 11:00-1:00 at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath, NY. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Alan Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mitchellesville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1316 College Avenue, Elmira, NY 14901.
