Obituary of Cynthia K. Jones

Please share a memory of Cynthia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Cynthia ("Sis") Kellogg Jones died February 11, 2018. Cynthia was born on August 25, 1930 in Bath, NY to Sheriff Lynn W. Kellogg and Alice Cynthia Taggart Kellogg. Sis attended Elmira College and went on to be an Administrative Assistant at the Bath Elementary School. After focusing her life on caring for her family and raising her children, she went on to pursue selfless giving to the community through many volunteer jobs. Sis was a member of the Ira Davenport volunteer auxiliary, assisting with a multitude of hospital fund raisers over several years. She was also known as the "sewing lady", mending clothes for those veterans living at the Bath VA Center. Sis was also a very active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Bath Sis was a talented artist creating many beautiful paintings, as well as other arts and crafts, some of which she donated to sell at arts and crafts shows and other fund-raising activities. Additionally, Sis was an avid bridge player, never missing an opportunity to play a hand. I'm sure she has found Rita, Joyce, and Edie and there is a table in play right now. 1 no-trump anyone? Sis and family are also extremely grateful for the support and extraordinary care provided by Sue, Rose, Charlene, Kathleen, and Jackie! Sis is survived by 3 daughters, Diane Corell, (Gary Corell), Kimberly Hamilton, Ellie Jones, (Don Hampton), and her "cuz", Jack Taggart. She was pre-deceased by her husband Raymond L. Jones and her brother, Lynn T. Kellogg. At Cynthia's request, there will be no formal services. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Bath at 122 Liberty Street Bath, NY 14810.
