Obituary of Ruth H. Culbertson

Ruth H Culbertson, 78, of Cameron Mills, NY, died May 3, 2018 at Fred & Harriett Taylor Health Center in Bath. Ruth was born in Savona NY to Forrest and Charlotte Sober on December 1, 1939. She married the love of her life Ivan Culbertson on April 5, 1958 and together they raised four daughters. Ruth was a grandmother of five and a great grandmother of four and worked as a quality control inspector for Corning Glass for 25 years. She enjoyed socializing with friends at coffee hour and the Eagles Club, and spent time attending school activities and the race track to support her grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her daughters; Diane (Michael) Sanders of Laverne TN, Dolores (Alan) Crooker of Campbell NY, Darline (Mike) Culbertson of Hornell NY, and Denise Brown of Hammondsport NY; grandchildren, Greg (Heidi) Crooker, Kreg Crooker, Michelle Culbertson, Stephania (John) Wallace, and Justin Brown and great grandchildren; Lauren and Carter Crooker and Ainsley's & Grayson Wallace. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ivan L. Culbertson, parents, Forrest and Charlotte Sorber; siblings, Glenn Sorber, Herman Sorber, Addymae Delong, Elizabeth Buckley, Vroomaan Charles Sorber and Ernest Sorber. Calling hours will be held at Fagan's Funeral Home on Sunday May 6, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday May 7, 2018 at 11:00AM with Sis Conrad officiating. Burial will be in Coopers Plains Cemetery.
