Obituary of Rita K. Caparulo

Rita Sutton Caparulo, age 84, of 8383 Ct. Rt.13, Bath, NY, 14810 and formerly of Cameron Mills, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 11, 2018 at home. Rita was born on March 24, 1934 in Thurston the daughter of the late Clyde B. Sutton and Katherine L. Leach Sutton. She married George W. Caparulo on August 21, 1953 at Cameron Mills, NY. She was a graduate of Campbell Central High School. She worked at Westinghouse in Bath, Savona Diner, Betty Kay Bake Shop in Bath, was manager of the Ira Davenport Hospital Coffee Shop and retired from Philips Lighting in Bath on March 31, 1995. Rita was a member of; Curtis Bible Baptist Church in Campbell, Thurston/Risingville Senior Citizens and Campbell Senior Citizens. She enjoyed reading cookbooks, magazines and books, doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, watching TV and baking. Rita was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 53 years George W. Caparulo, a son Tony Caparulo, a daughter Tammy Meyers Smith, a grandson Tony Coots and a sister-in-law, Phoebe Simons. Her loving family includes; two sons, Terry (Nevada) Caparula of Cameron and Tracy (Deborah) Caparulo of Cameron; three daughters, Tara (Tim) Coots of Bath, Tina Gottstine (companion Ron Horton) of Bath and Tonia Lechner of Addison; two sisters, Joann Alexander of Campbell and Helen Smith of Marshall, Michigan; two brothers, Philip (Laurie) Sutton of Cameron Mills and Randall (Colleen) Sutton of Campbell; two favorite uncles, Leon (Twila) Leach and Hervey (Joyce) Leach, sister-in-law, Rosamond Keefe of Painted Post, brother-in-law, Frank (Vonnie) Caparulo of Savona, 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath, with Pastor Greg Ferguson officiating, today, May 15, 2018 at 5:00 PM. Memorial donations in Rita's name may be made to Care First 3805 Meads Creek Rd, Painted Post, NY 14870.
