Obituary of Richard P Ballinger

Richard P Ballinger, age 80, of Bath, NY, died Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Bath Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born January 8, 1938 in Corning, NY, the son of the late Albert and Charriebell (Burley) Ballinger. Mr. Ballinger was an Army Veteran and retired from Mercury Aircraft of Hammondsport, NY. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cohocton, NY. He was a big fan of the local high school sports and enjoyed being outdoors walking his dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathleen (Battles) Ballinger, son Brian Ballinger and daughter Rebecca Herrick, brother Ronald Ballinger, sister Sondra Doty and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and favorite Uncle Charlie Burley.
Family and friends are invited to call at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 2:00-5:00 pm. Private burial with military honors will be in Bath National Cemetery.
