Obituary of Terry Lee Ackerson

Terry L. Ackerson, age 67, of Kanona, NY died Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born November 15, 1950 in Bath, NY the son of Lawrence and Virginia (Hoagland) Ackerson. Mr. Ackerson was an Army Veteran. He was a past member of the Avoca American Legion and the Bowling Association, where he served as Secretary. He was an avid gardener and beloved husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Betsy (Briglin) Ackerson of Kanona; two daughters, Beth (Andy) Falco of Avoca, NY and Lee (Charles) Leasure of Bath, NY; grandchildren, Ashley Falco (Steven Olds) and Dorian Leasure; step grandchildren, Andrew Falco and Tyler and Blake Leasure, sister: Virginia (Ed) House of Avoca, NY; two brothers, David Ackerson of Avoca, NY and Lionel (Kim) Ackerson of CA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Frank Ackerson. Calling hours will be held on Friday July 6, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 West Morris St., Bath, NY. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home with Sis Conrad officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name, may be made to the Kanona Fire Department (5931 Railroad Ave. , Kanona, N.Y. 14856)
