Emery John Applebee, age 69 of Bath, NY died July 18, 2018 at home. He was born October 19, 1948, in Bath, NY the son of the late Emery J. and Loretta (Crocker) Applebee. He was an Air Force Veteran. John retired from Corning, Inc. He was a die-hard Buffalo Bills and NY Yankees Fan. John loved gardening and his casino trips. He was an avid bowler and past umpire for the Bath Little League, both of which he enjoyed very much. He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn Fowler-Applebee, sister Louise Seager and brother Scott Applebee. He is survived by his sisters; Hazel Buck and Gail Saxton; brothers, Dale (Lori) Applebee, Kevin (Tammy) Rawleigh and John (Karleen) Rawleigh, God daughter Katrina Buck Majoros, step-mother, Irene Applebee; stepsons, Tony (Marsha) Fowler, Dave (Meghan) Fowler and Jim Fowler, step daughter, Cora Fowler; sisters-in-law, Janis Czimback and Masha Hmiel; brothers-in-law, Jim (Bonnie) Henshaw, Bill Henshaw, and Steve Henshaw and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at the Bath National Cemetery on August 2, 2018 at 3:00 pm with military honors. Condolences may be made at www.fagansfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name may be made to the FLSPCA, 72 Cameron Street, Bath, NY 14810.
