Obituary of Bernard B. Jones

Bernard B. Jones, age 94, of Bath, NY, died Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Bath VA Medical Center.  He was born July 13, 1924 in Corning, NY the son of Fred D. and Emma (Nichols) Jones.  Mr. Jones was a World War II US Army Veteran, Bronze Star recipient, and was a part of the 3rd Cavalry of General Patton's Ghost Army.  He was the Past Commander of the Corning American Legion.  He retired from the Corning Glass Works as a Color Technician.  Mr. Jones was an ice fisherman and an avid golfer. He also enjoyed square dancing with his wife Sue.  He is survived by his wife, Sue Jones of Bath; sons, Stephen L. (Dawn) Jones of Olean, NY, Alan J. (Sherry) Jones of Galivants Ferry, SC and Daniel B. (Karen) Jones of Sugar Hill, GA; grandchildren, Dylan (Janis) Jones, Eric Jones and Holly Jones Sabia; step children, Rick (Debra) Woolever, Robert Woolever and Lynn (Bob) Hill all of Bath, NY and Kim (David) Austin of Castleton, NY, brother Gerald E. (Joanne) Jones of Painted Post, NY and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his sister Beverly Jones. Family and friends are invited to call at Fagan's Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 12:00-2:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Alan Jones officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath.
