Obituary of Betty J. McCormick

Betty J. McCormick of Bath, NY, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home in Penn Yan, NY.  She was born in Naples, NY on September 3, 1925, the daughter of the late John and Eva (Peck) Klug.

Betty was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Gary and Ronald, her husband Joe H. McCormick and her son John H. "Jack" McCormick.

She is survived by her second son James A. (Kathleen) McCormick of Hammondsport, NY, daughter-in-law, Mary 'Sue' McCormick of Stuart, FL; two grandchildren, Shannon (Richard) Bolender of Wheatfield, NY and Christopher (Katie) McCormick of Fairport, NY; three great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Cameron Bolender and Mason McCormick; sister-in-law, Evelyn McCormick of Bath, NY and several nieces and nephews.

In 1980 Betty retired from the Bath Veterans Administration in Bath, NY.  She was the Director of Canteen Services at the VA for many years.

Her immediate family would like to thank all the care givers for the wonderful care and love they gave to Betty over the past few years.

Family and friends are invited to call at Fagan's Funeral Home on Saturday December 1, 2018 from 11:00-1:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Don Peek officiating.  Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport, NY at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Betty's name may be made to the Finger Lakes SPCA  at www.fingerlakesspca.org and the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
