Marcia A. Shaver, 81, of Bath, NY, went to her Heavenly Home with her Lord and Savior on January 20, 2019 at Elderwood  in Waverly, N.Y. She was surrounded by an abundance of peace, love and respect.

Marcia was born to parents, Chester and Grayce (Peterson) Kimball on March 20, 1937 in Waltham, MA at age 10, she and her family relocated to Cohocton, N.Y. where she attended and graduated from Cohocton Central School in 1955. She later pursued her life-long dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. This was one of her proudest accomplishments. Marcia strongly believed "if you want something bad enough, you will achieve it." Marcia was a long-term employee, as well as retired from the Steuben County Infirmary (now known as Steuben Centers) in Bath, N.Y. doing what she loved.most; taking care of others.

Marcia was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Knights of Columbus Auxiliaries, the Quota Club and the Red Hat's Society. She also proudly volunteered and served as an Ombudsman and volunteered for The Vincent House in Wayland, N.Y.

Marcia was a devout Catholic and a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Bath, where she sang in the choir for many years.

Her true joy and loves of her life were her family. She was so proud of her 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Every chance she got, even up until recent, she beamed as she bragged and shared photos and stories of all of them. Her dedication, determination,  perseverance and strong faith were all amazing, up-lifting and inspiring not only to her family, but to all those who knew her.

Marcia is survived by her son, Timothy (Paula) Shaver, daughter, Kristina McLaughlin (David Hart), son-in-law, Harold Crossman, her 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also, surviving are her brother, Jeffery (Liz) Kimball, step-sister, Lucy Ali and several nieces and nephews.
